Cacao powder – Superfood brimming with antioxidants, dietary fibre, Iron, Magnesium
2 tbsp organic hemp protein powder
1 ½ cups ground almonds (+ extra for rolling)
¼ cup desiccated coconut (+ extra for rolling)
2 tbsp black chia seeds – grind in nutmill or food processor (+ extra for rolling)
½ cup ground flax seeds
½ cup cacao powder
2tbsp maca powder
4 tbsp maple syrup (or alternative)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp melted coconut oil
Makes about 16 bite sized balls
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Use the back of a wooden spoon and press in downward motion which allows the oils to come out of the ingredients and binds it all together. Might take a few minutes and some mixing dedication for the mixture to totally combine. If the mixture is too dry add a little more melted coconut oil.
Take out heaped teaspoon sized and roll into balls, and roll in extra almond, coconut or chia seeds. They are good to go immediately, but pop in the fridge to keep fresh. They will be gone in no time I can promise you!
