Genetically modified (GM) foods are food items that have had their DNA changed through genetic engineering. Unlike conventional genetic modification that is carried out through conventional breeding and that have been consumed for thousands of years, GM foods were first put on the market in the early 1990s but have been around since the early 1950’s.
Big companies that started producing GM seeds did so, so that the particular Fruit or Vegetable could withstand heavy duty pesticides. We have been told these chemicals are safe, yet the people who spray the crops are fully protected from head to toe. We have also been told that GM crops are safe, yet the evidence is mounting against this.

Evidence to support the dangers of GM crops is on the increase and not to mention the destruction this is doing to out Planet. Also many farmers have gone bust because of failing crops – with no support from the Companies in question which has led to utter devastation.
This is one of the most tragic events of our time where food is concerned. We, the people have the power in our hands whether we eat foods that contain these dangerous seeds and chemicals.
