This delicious mixture of fruit and protein will keep you going all morning!
It’s also a great way to use frozen fruit or overripe fresh fruit.
The superfoods are all optional, but I include them here if you want to give one or two of them a go. Your smoothie will be just as delicious without them, so don’t worry if you don’t have any to hand!
Serves 4 as an accompanying drink to raw granola or fresh fruit, or serves 2 as a breakfast on its own.
You will need
A good blender or hand blender
3 cups/520ml nut milk (make your own, or use store-bought almond or hemp milk)
½ cup/60g blueberries, raspberries, or other berries
2 ripe bananas (the browner, the sweeter!)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or ½ teaspoon vanilla powder
2 teaspoons maca (optional superfood)
2 teaspoons mesquite (optional superfood)
2 teaspoons barley grass powder (optional superfood)
