Curiosity, deep listening, powerful questions and intuition, these are some of the tools used in a coaching session. By being fully present and really listening to what someone is saying, a coach is able to use powerful questions and their own intuition to assist you in understanding any blocks or obstacles getting in the way of your success and happiness.
I personally don’t love the title “Life Coach”, to me it is a label that limits and places expectation upon myself and the sessions I have with my clients. Simply put, I am there to assist others in achieving their core truths, re-aligning them with their soul desires and facilitating positive growth as an individual. Prior to beginning my path as a coach, I had never even heard of a Life Coach, let alone considered hiring one.
I felt that I was conscious of my goals, decisions and that I was motivated to achieve the best version of myself, so what was the need of seeking someone else’s assistance? As I began my new path as a coach I began to realize the benefits of working with coaches and healers. For me it was great to feel encouraged by someone and to have someone dig deep and help me see certain blocks in my life that I had been over looking.
YOU Have All The Power
I’ve come to learn a valuable lesson in both life and coaching, people do not want to be told what to do, what to change about themselves or how they should live their lives. As a coach, I don’t have all of the answers to your questions, I do however allow a space for you to open up without judgment, without biased opinions and without giving into your story.
There is much more growth from someone discovering answers on their own as opposed to someone else giving them advice. Advice is based on personal preferences, experiences and beliefs of the individual offering the advice and could not be what’s best for that person. It’s up to each individual to do their own work and find out for themselves what is best for them, Coaches can assist you in navigating through these times in your life.
Who Needs A Coach?
Some may come to a coach in a time of challenges or chaos in hope of getting some tools to navigate through the difficult times they’re facing. Others may choose to use a coach at times in their lives where they feel that everything is great and on track for them but are interested in growing themselves further. We all have the answers and strength within ourselves to get anywhere we desire, but it can be helpful to have someone with an objective view to assist you along the way.
